The impact of youth mentoring

On this episode of the Loudmouth Project’s Voices of Reason, Amy Donaldson and Jasen Lee discuss the positive impacts of mentoring for school-age youth. Joining us are Apollo Burgamy, volunteer and alumni coordinator with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Utah, Big Sister mentor Randi Cleverley and mentee Lilly, a 10-year old forth grader who joined the program a year ago hoping to make a new friend.

Jasen is a veteran journalist and broadcaster who began his career in radio. He’s worked in Milwaukee, Springfield, IL and Salt Lake City covering news, politics and sports. He is the co-creator of the Voices of Reason podcast along with Amy Donaldson where they promote civil dialogue and understanding between people of differing views. A Chicago native, Jasen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a Masters of Professional Communication degree at Weber State University.
